SHOUTOUT TO CATS FOR GETTING THEIR CLAWS STUCK IN THINGS AND THEN WHEN YOU HELP THEY GET OFFENDED THAT YOU TOUCHED THEIR PAW
Story time:
I have a cat. He was a rescue from a small town dump along with his brother. Unforunately this cat had at some point in time experienced some head trauma (you can feel the healed ridge on his skull when petting him), so he’s a bit slow and blank at times. He also gets stuck on everything. One night he was playing with the pull cords for a blind while in his basket (basket was next to a window), and he got the cord wrapped around his paw. I did not know this. He didn’t cry. Next morning I found him asleep with his paw raised above his head and the cord wrapped around his paw. I unwrapped his paw, gave him a kiss, and he proceeded to leap out of the basket and faceplant onto the floor. I picked him up, rubbed his nose, gave him a kiss on the head, and he bounced away towards the kitchen for some food.

Creative writing teacher: the combination of fog and technology is symbolic of the way people have lost themselves in the mystery of the unknown and anonymity provided by the fog. No longer are we individuals crossing path on a daily bases, instead we have become ships passing each other on a stormy night our personalities and identities modeled and created by our own hands and societies expectation of what it means to be alive and to be human.
