I spent the afternoon arranging our books by size and color (and it’s so satisfying and looks amazing) and my partner came home and stared in shock at the bookcase and then said “i’m a librarian, you can’t do this.”

As a former bookstore employee, this hurts my soul. I mean, sure it looks nice, but how do you find anything?

it has occurred me during this process that apparently not everyone thinks about books by what color they are? like, literally when i’m looking for a book, i picture it in my mind. i have a very…tactile experience with the books i read and idk! i thought everyone did that lol.

my partner was like “how will i find [this book] for instance” and i replied “easy, it’s purple” and he looked at me like i was a witch.

Where do your titles come from?

Wolf among wolves was just a play on the words Sheep Among Wolves or Wolf among Sheep. In Tim’s case he was the ‘sheep’ among the wolves though this fic is about showing thats not the case (anymore).

My house mate got her title from a poem, and i think using song lyrics is popular. Don’t stress if you end up changing it. I did! WAW was originally called ‘The long Con Gone Wrong’ I think i changed it like five chapters in because i thought WAW was more catchy.

I don’t…really know where I get my titles from or what inspires them. I’m usually pretty bad at titles but I usually come to like them. The Fuckin’ Hell title came because it was supposed to be 3 chapters max and it uh, got waaay out of control and morphed into something where I’d look at it and go ‘fucking hell man.’

Something similar with Mack Daddy Fuck List, in that case I just liked the way the words rolled off my tongue.

Bastards Choice I just typed in the thing that came to me when I posted the first few chapters because I had this scene somewhere at the end where the kid Rhys would have would pick Jack over Hugo (that scene never got written but it stuck with me vividly).

Shamefully Yours is another one that came about when I was getting ready to post it. I thought ‘well, what is this story about? Aside from the smut? Well, there is a lot of shame so….’.

Hidden Among Lambs, basically, its symbolic of the meaning the story because it’s amazing what can be hidden in plain sight unless you know what to look for or experienced something and can spot the little tells amongst the herd.
